Jeffrey Browne
Non-Executive Director and Independent Chairman
Jeffrey Browne is the Chairman of MA Financial Group.
Jeffrey has over 25 years of experience as a commercial lawyer including as principal of Browne & Co Solicitors and Consultants, a practice he founded early in his career.
Jeffrey is Chairman of Premoso Pty Ltd (owner of business of “Holden Special Vehicles”) and has been involved with Holden Special Vehicles since 2001 as a Non-Executive Director. He is the former Chairman at carsales.com Ltd, stepping down in 2018.
Between 2010 and 2013 Jeffrey also held the position of Managing Director of Nine Network Australia, where he served as Executive Director from 2006.
Jeffrey holds a degree in Arts from La Trobe University, Melbourne and a degree in Law from Monash University, Melbourne.

Andrew Pridham AO
Group Vice Chairman
Andrew Pridham AO is the Group Vice Chairman of MA Financial Group.
Andrew has over 30 years’ experience in investment banking and is the former Executive Chairman of Investment Banking at J.P. Morgan Australia where he completed many major M&A, equity raising and other advisory transactions and played a leading role in the significant growth of J.P. Morgan’s Australian business.
Andrew also spent 12 years at UBS where he held senior roles including Global Head of Real Estate Investment Banking and Head of Investment Banking for Australasia working in London and Singapore and was a member of the UBS Global Investment Banking Management Committee.
In 2009 he co-founded MA Financial Group. MA Financial Group was initially a 50:50 joint venture between NYSE listed global investment bank Moelis & Company and its Australian executives.
Andrew has been a director of AFL club the Sydney Swans since 2002 and the Chairman since 2013. He was raised in Adelaide and is an Alumnus of the University of South Australia.

Kenneth Moelis
Non-Executive Director
Ken Moelis is founder and Chairman of Moelis & Company and has served as Chief Executive Officer of that company since 2007.
Ken has over 30 years of investment banking and mergers and acquisitions experience. Prior to founding Moelis & Company, Mr. Moelis worked at UBS from 2001 to 2007, where he was most recently President of UBS Investment Bank and previously Joint Global Head of Investment Banking. Before joining UBS, Mr. Moelis was Head of Corporate Finance at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, where he worked from 1990 through 2000.
Ken began his career as an investment banker with Drexel Burnham Lambert in 1981. Ken serves on the University of Pennsylvania Board of Trustees, the Wharton Board of Overseers, the Board of the Tourette Syndrome Association and the Board of Governors of Cedars Sinai Hospital.
Ken holds a B.S. and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Alexandra Goodfellow

Alexandra Goodfellow is an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Remuneration and Nomination Committee of MA Financial Group.
Alexandra has over 30 years’ experience in human capital consulting across Board, CEO, Financial Services and Property within Australia, Asia and the UK.
Alexandra is currently Vice Chairman Australasia at Korn Ferry.
Alexandra is a member of the Funding Committee for the Westmead Children’s Hospital Grace Ward, a Non-Executive Director of the Sydney Swans, and a Mentor with the Minerva Network. Alexandra was a Founding Member of the Tiffany Red Cross Committee, and previously Advisory Committee Member for Women in Payments.

Simon Kelly
Independent Non-Executive Director and Audit and Risk Committee Chair
Simon Kelly is an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee of MA Financial Group.
Simon has over 30 years’ experience in strategic, financial and general management across a range of Australian listed and unlisted consumer facing businesses.
He is currently Chief Executive Officer of technology start-up, NoahFace. He has previously served in C-Suite level roles at ASX listed Ardent Leisure, Virgin Australia, Nine Entertainment Co., Aristocrat Leisure and Goodman Fielder. He has extensive experience operating in complex regulatory environments, driving business transformation, M&A and capital markets.
Simon spent 10 years with PWC, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Kate Pilcher Ciafone

Kate Pilcher Ciafone is Chief Operating Officer of Investment Banking and a founding member of Moelis & Company.
Kate has been in the investment banking industry for almost 20 years as both a banker and operations executive. As a founding member of Moelis & Company, Kate has played a vital role in establishing, shaping and enhancing nearly every aspect of Moelis & Company’s management and operations.
Prior to Moelis & Company, Kate worked in the UBS Investment Bank Office of the CEO and President, where she helped to analyze growth opportunities and develop strategy for the firm. She began her investment banking career in the Financial Institutions Group at UBS Investment Bank.
Kate holds a B.S. in Commerce with distinction from The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.

Chris Wyke
Joint Chief Executive Officer
Chris Wyke is Joint Chief Executive Officer of MA Financial Group and was one of the founders of the company in 2009.
Chris has over 20 years’ industry experience, including extensive private equity, turnaround, restructuring, M&A, equity and debt capital markets transactions.
Chris has been involved with a broad range of clients and transactions, most recently the sale of TEN Network Holdings to CBS, the restructure and recapitalisation of both BIS Industries (A$1.1bn) and Slater and Gordon (A$730m), the purchase of the GE Consumer finance business (A$8.2bn), the reorganisations and control transactions of both Boart Longyear (US$352m), and Billabong (US$495m), the distressed acquisitions of both I-Med (A$1bn) and Channel 9 (A$3.4bn) on behalf of a syndicate of Special Situation / Private Equity investors.
Chris previously worked in investment banking for J.P. Morgan and UBS in London, Singapore and Sydney.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Economics with Honours from University College London.

Julian Biggins

Julian is Joint Chief Executive Officer of MA Financial Group and was one of the founders of the company in 2009.
Julian has nearly 20 years of experience providing M&A and capital markets advice to real estate and funds management companies.
Julian was previously a senior member of JP Morgan’s Asia Pacific real estate investment banking team, and prior to that was a member of UBS’ Australian real estate research team

Nikki Warburton

Nikki Warburton is an Independent Non-Executive Director of MA Financial Group.
Nikki is a highly experienced Senior Executive and Board Director with a strong track record of delivering tangible business results – from business strategy to change management – across a range of industries including automotive, sport, marketing and media. She has more than 30 years’ providing consumer, brand, and marketing advice to growing businesses.
She is currently on the Board of Directors for GWS Giants, Car Expert, and is a Mentor for The Marketing Academy. Most recently Nikki was Chief Customer and Marketing Officer at Audi, where she developed the Customer and Digital strategy roadmap to accelerate digital, data and customer maturity, seeing a 10% uplift in repurchase year on year. Nikki was also a Group Director at AUSTAR Entertainment and was part of the executive team who sold AUSTAR to Foxtel for more than $2 billion.

Janna Robertson
Chief Operating Officer
Janna Robertson is the Chief Operating Officer of MA Financial Group.
Janna has over 20 years’ experience in financial services and has held roles at Deloitte and KordaMentha where she was focused on advising clients in relation to financial and operational restructuring and transformation, and performance improvement.
Janna is an alumnus of the University of Technology Sydney, a chartered accountant and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Giles Boddy
Chief Financial Officer
Giles Boddy is the Chief Financial Officer of MA Financial Group.
Giles is an accomplished finance executive with extensive experience in financial services. During his career he has held a variety of roles including CFO, Chief Risk and Legal Officer and COO, and built significant experience in banking, mortgage broking, equities, wealth and asset management, franchises, corporate transactions and risk culture transformation.
Giles has held several senior leadership roles at Lendi Group, Aussie Home Loans, Commonwealth Bank and National Australia Bank, where he was instrumental in developing and building new businesses and products, rationalising, and improving business processes to better deliver financial services to customers.
Giles holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Rebecca Ong
General Counsel and Company Secretary
Rebecca is General Counsel and Company Secretary at MA Financial Group.
Rebecca is responsible for legal, compliance and company secretarial activities of MA Financial Group with over 15 years’ experience as a lawyer in the financial services industry.
Prior to joining the company, Rebecca was Regional Counsel at UBS, with primary responsibilities for advising its Asset Management businesses across Asia Pacific from both Sydney and Hong Kong.
Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) / Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales and is a Fellow with the Governance Institute of Australia.

Andrew Martin

Andrew Martin is a Managing Director of MA Financial Group and the Head of MA Financial Group Asset Management.
Andrew has over 30 years’ experience in global investment as a principal investor and adviser across a range of sectors including real estate, infrastructure, private equity and energy.
Prior to joining MA Financial Group Andrew was a Managing Director at UBS Global Asset Management in Infrastructure and Private Equity.
Prior to that Andrew was a principal of an asset management firm which founded several real estate funds in the US, Australia and Asia.
Previously Andrew was an investment banker with Rothschild, and served in the NSW Government Premier’s Department and the Cabinet Office where he advised on the privatisation and corporatisation of infrastructure and utilities.
Andrew has also held senior positions in Australian and international law firms.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney.

Richard Colless AM

Richard Colless AM is the Chairman of MA Financial Group Asset Management.
Richard has 40 years’ experience in the financial services industry in Australia and the UK.
Richard was previously the Chairman of ING Real Estate Investment Management which managed five listed property trusts in Australia worth over A$10bn, a member of the J.P. Morgan Advisory Board in Australia, and the longest serving Chairman in Australian Rules Football history at the Sydney Swans.

Frank Danieli
Head of Credit Investments and Lending
Frank is a Managing Director and Head of Credit Investments & Lending at MA Financial Group, having joined the firm over a decade ago.
He is responsible for MA’s Global Credit Solutions platform, which invests across asset backed lending, corporate debt, bonds and credit opportunities verticals. Frank also has strategic oversight of the firm’s Lending businesses, which include non-bank lending and financial technology platforms, and its principal credit initiatives.
Frank’s background includes substantial experience in corporate advisory, where he focused on special situations, M&A and financial services transactions. His notable transaction experience includes Alinta Energy, Billabong, Boart Longyear, Ten Network, GE Capital Consumer ANZ (now Latitude), HomeStart lending platform, SA Government CTP / Berkshire Hathaway reinsurance deal, Axsesstoday restructure, Slater & Gordon restructure, Blue Sky recapitalisation, Emeco / Orionstone / Andy’s three-way merger and recap, Saputo/Murray Goulburn and Reliance Rail, among others.
Frank previously worked as a corporate strategy consultant at Pottinger and in funds management at Challenger.

Paul Rathborne

Anthony is an investment services leader with over 26 years‘ experience in covering asset owners and managers globally across their investment needs.
Anthony joins MA Financial Group from Bank of New York Mellon, where he was Managing Director and Global Head of Client Coverage Asset Servicing, based in New York, with oversight of the firm’s client franchise across all investor segments with assets under administration north of $44 trillion. Anthony initially joined BNY Mellon as Head of Middle East and North Africa, where he led the firm’s growth agenda across several markets and businesses.
Prior to BNY Mellon, Anthony was a Managing Director at Citi’s Institutional Client Group and held several senior roles in the Middle East and Africa including, Corporate and Investment Banking Coverage, Head of Global Family Office MENA, and Head of Private Bank, Saudi Arabia & UAE.
Anthony has also held senior roles in Australia with National Australia Bank, Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Lendlease Communities.

Alice was previously at the Macquarie Group for 16 years working across transaction execution, operations and risk management in funds management, investment banking, retail banking and equity investments.

Drew Bowie

Drew Bowie is a Managing Director at MA Financial Group in Asset Management.
Drew is a credit asset management specialist and has over 25 years’ experience in real estate credit, portfolio management and capital market experience across multiple asset classes.
He has successfully completed an extensive array of development and investment portfolio finance facilities, incorporating senior and structured credit and equity participations for both in bank and non-bank institutions.
Transactions include Realm Adelaide: 310 apartments stretch senior development finance facility, Breakfast Point: Equity and debt for A$1.0bn, 1,800 residential development finance facility. Pace: Securitised 40-year triple net lease to fund the construction of a university research and teaching campus, Hilton Hotel: Construction facility developed under a project delivery agreement, Lend Lease: A$500m acquisition bridge facility refinanced via a A$975m syndicated facility.
Drew was previously responsible for deal origination and portfolio management at MaxCap Group, Pepper Group, RBS and Macquarie Bank.

Matthew Tehan

Bryan has 17 years’ industry experience in emerging company research, sales and corporate finance including roles at JP Morgan and Elders Ltd.

He has a diverse client base, including many of Australia’s most prominent small to mid-cap fund managers.

Amelia Hill

Amelia is a Managing Director at MA Financial Group.
Amelia has over 20 years’ experience in investment banking including mergers and acquisitions and public/private capital raising. In her most recent role with MA Financial’s corporate advisory division, Amelia led the equity capital markets team.
Prior to joining MA Financial Group, she was an Executive Director at UBS and ran the firm’s Alternative Capital Group in Australia, including recommending, structuring and managing principal positions on behalf of UBS. Amelia also ran UBS’s capital markets team in Australia across emerging and small/mid-cap companies.

John Garrett

Alan has over 30 years’ experience.
Alan was the Minister Commercial and Senior Trade Commissioner at the Australian Embassy in Beijing and the Principal of Intercedent – a business in China advising on inbound and outbound investments.
Alan was an Aussie Rules Football player with the Essendon and Geelong teams.

Jaron Yuen

Jaron Yuen is a Managing Director at MA Financial Group in Asset Management and is responsible for firm’s private equity and venture capital investments.
Jaron has over 20 years’ experience as an investor and adviser, with a focus on private investment in operating businesses.
Jaron was previously involved in the acquisition, financing and management of investments in sectors such as renewable energy, municipal waste, water and waste treatment, telecommunications infrastructure and power generation in the UK, Europe and Australia, an investment principal at UBS and Lend Lease and an investment banker at Citigroup and ABN AMRO in Sydney, London and Amsterdam.

Mike Pyke

Mike is Head of Institutional Capital and responsible for Asset Management’s capital partnerships.
Mike has been with MA Financial Group since 2013. He worked heavily on MA Financial Group’s IPO in 2017 and subsequently led MA’s IR and strategy function. Mike previously worked in MA’s Corporate Advisory Team (restructuring) for major Australian corporates and leading global hedge funds.
Prior to joining MA Financial Group, Mike was at Citi bank. He has over 12 years diversified financial services experience. Mike holds a Master of Commerce (finance) from The University of Sydney.

Richard Germain
Managing Director
Richard is a Managing Director of MA Financial Group.
Richard helps manage and grow the Real Estate Asset Management business which includes sourcing appropriate fund investments and investment capital, both institutional and high net worth and the establishment and investment management of real estate funds and assets.
Richard was a founding Director of Armada Funds Management for 11 years focusing on Australian investment grade assets for both institutional and high net worth clients, undertaking in excess of $1bn of transactions. Armada was acquired by MA Financial Group in June 2017.
Richard has extensive experience in both property and capital markets.
Richard was previously an investment advisor and portfolio manager at Lend Lease Corporation Limited including providing portfolio management, product design, and advice to the company’s funds on appropriate investment, allocation and diversification strategies across all asset classes
Richard is a qualified actuary and holds a Masters of Economics in Actuarial Studies and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment.

Brad Couper

Brad is a Managing Director in the Principal Investments division with a focus on real estate.
Brad has been with MA Financial Group for over 12 years’ and has experience across investment banking and asset management.

Steve Bennett
Managing Director
Steve Bennett is a Managing Director of MA Financial Group in Asset Management.
Steve has over 30 years’ experience in corporate and structured credit and has extensive experience in originating, structuring, underwriting and distributing debt and quasi debt products in the Australian and Asian markets.
Steve previously held the roles of Group Executive, Finance & Treasury at Consolidated Press Holdings (Packer Family Company), Managing Director, Head of Leveraged & Acquisition Finance, Asia Pacific and Executive Vice President, Head of Structured Credit at Bankers Trust Australia.
Steve holds a Graduate Diploma in Management from Macquarie University.
Steve has been the Director, South Sydney Rugby League Football Club Limited since 2014.

John Sheffield
Managing Director
John Sheffield is a Managing Director of MA Financial Group in Asset Management.
John has over 30 years’ experience across financial markets, asset management and private, commercial and institutional banking segments.
John previously held senior risk management roles at National Australia Bank (NAB) across investments, private wealth management, asset management, and financial institutions credit covering global funds and NBFI risk. Prior to NAB, John had senior credit risk roles at the Commonwealth Bank in the financial markets and institutional banking business.
John holds a Bachelor of Business with a joint major in Accounting and Finance from Charles Sturt University.

Cathy Houston
Managing Director
Cathy is a Managing Director in Asset Management.
Cathy is a credit asset management specialist and has over 25 years of experience in real estate finance, advisory, structuring, turnaround and capital market experience. She has completed an array of development and investment portfolio finance facilities, incorporating senior and structured credit and equity participations.
Prior to joining MA Financial Group, Cathy provided real estate focussed advisory services at Archerfield Partners and managed portfolios of distressed credit exposures at HSBC and RBS. In previous roles, she has provided real estate finance origination, structuring and advisory services at RBS, NAB and Bankers Trust Investment Bank.
She holds a Bachelor of Economics (Accounting) from the University of Sydney, an Associate Diploma in Finance and is a chartered accountant.

Vanessa Tang
Executive Director
Vanessa is a Executive Director at MA Financial Group and a founding member of the MA Financial Group Asset Management team.
She previously worked as a paralegal specialising in migration and real estate conveyancing.
Vanessa has 13 years’ experience in financial services, real estate and Immigration legal advisory services.
Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Critical and Cultural Studies from Macquarie University.
She is fluent in English, Mandarin and the Shanghai dialect.

Jimmy Fong
Executive Director
Jimmy Fong is responsible for client services, fund marketing and business development.
He has over 10 years’ experience in the private wealth and the wealth management sector, managing client relationships and servicing Ultra High Net Worth clients by providing financial advice on managed funds, bonds, investment and insurance products.
Previously, Jimmy held the position of Senior Banker at OCBC Wing Hang Bank servicing private wealth clients. Jimmy has also worked at HSBC and Standard Chartered Bank in Hong Kong.
Jimmy holds a Bachelor of Economics with Honors from the City University of Hong Kong.
He is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, the Shanghai dialect and English.

Billie Tay
Executive Director
Billie Tay is Executive Director at MA Financial Group and is responsible for client services, fund marketing and channel development.
Billie has over 10 years’ experience in advising on financial products, migration programs and has specialised experience in Singapore Global Investor Program (GIP) and Australian SIV programs.
She has extensive experience in managing client relationship and servicing high net worth clients by providing financial advice on managed funds, bonds, investment and insurance products.
Billie has Diploma in Business Administration from Auston Institute Singapore.
She is fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay.

Matthew Lane
Managing Director
Matthew Lane is a Managing Director in Real Estate Asset Management.
Matthew is focused on growing the Real Estate Asset Management business which includes sourcing appropriate investments and investment capital, both institutional and high net worth. Matthew’s role also incorporates asset and investment management across the various funds as well as running the SIV Property Fund.
He is a real estate and capital markets specialist and has over 25 years’ experience.
Prior to Moelis, he was the General Manager of Capital Transactions at ISPT and formerly of the Head of Office Transactions at Charter Hall. Matthew has extensive experience in capital transactions, being responsible for over $9 billion in real estate deals across all asset classes at Charter Hall (14 years) and ISPT.
While also at Charter Hall, he was a Fund Manager for assets worth over $1.2 billion, ran the commercial asset valuation program and was responsible for the South Australian expansion with particular note the GPO commercial development project.
Matthew has a Bachelor of Business (Property), majoring in Valuation and Marketing / Management, from University of South Australia. Matthew also has a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.

Celia Shi
Executive Director
Celia is an Executive Director at MA Financial Group.
Celia is a product and client relationship specialist with over ten years’ experience across asset management, wealth management and platforms. She is responsible for promoting MA Financial Group Asset Management’s capabilities especially the SIV Complying investment to high-net-worth investors globally.
Prior to joining MA Financial Group, Celia held roles at Morgan Stanley, Colonial First State Custom Solutions and Westpac Banking Group. Her most recent position being a Product Manager for SIV Investment Solutions and Separately Managed Account (SMA) at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management division.
Celia holds a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in accounting and finance from the University of Melbourne.

Richard Yu

Prior to that, she was at Investment Services of BNP Paribas Wealth Management, working closely with CIO and product teams for comprehensive wealth management investment strategy and product marketing in APAC.
