Our Joint CEO Julian Biggins joined host Ryan Loeher on EWL’s ‘Exchange Podcast’ for a wide-ranging conversation on MA Financial’s origins and the opportunities he sees across private credit and Australian real assets including pubs, marinas, specialist disability accommodation and retail shopping centres.

Discussing his long-held conviction in Australian real estate and why he believes now is a compelling time to invest, Julian said: “It's an amazing time to invest in real estate, and the right real estate…you can buy the asset with a lot of confidence that there will be very limited supply. Think about how long it takes to not only build it, but get a DA through, get your feasibility stack up, get someone to finance it.

For the last 18 months we've seen interest rates start stabilizing. They might go up 25 points, might go down, but I think when you're buying real estate for 10 years, it doesn't matter…You go to the fundamentals, I like the concept of cash flowing land banks… anything hard asset where you're buying deep discounts to replacement costs, and have something with really strong demand.”

Joint CEO, Julian Biggins
