We are proud to sign as official 2022 partner of The Asian Football Confederation Champions League, sponsoring Sydney FC.

Sydney FC faced Kaya F.C. Iloilo in the preliminary round on Tuesday 8 March and cruised into the Group Stage of the league after their 5-0 win.

The team will soon fly to Ho Chi Minh City for the Group Stage where they will face Korean club Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, Japanese side Yokohama F. Marinos and Hoang Anh Gia Lai from Vietnam.

Sydney FC Chairman Scott Barlow welcomed MA Financial into the Sky Blue family.

“We are delighted to be partnering with MA Financial for our AFC Champions League 2022 campaign,” he said.

“At Sydney FC we strive to be the best in everything we do, which is a common goal for our new partners as well.

“This partnership is further evidence of the strong and growing long-term commercial network we have at Sydney FC.”

This is MA Financial’s first foray into Asian football and a competition which is watched by millions around the world.

MA Financial’s Head of Asset Management, Andrew Martin said: “MA Financial’s partnership with Sydney FC for the 2022 Asian Championship League is a natural fit given our commitment to business in Asia where we manage substantial investments into Australia from Asia-based investors.”

Sydney FC have qualified for six out of the past seven AFC Champions League tournaments and eight competitions in all which is a record for an Australia club alongside Melbourne Victory.
